* v * -Private Joseph Grilc, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grilc, of De Pue, who is in training at Camp Robinson, Ark., arrived home Friday night to spend three days with his relatives and friends. He returned Mondaymorning to Camp Robinson. Pvt. Grilc is attached to a replacement training school. * y ★-John Urbanski, son of Mrs. John Urbanski, De Pue, a navy torpedo-bomber pilot, has been promoted to lieutenant (jg), according to information received by his mother.Lt. Urbanski, a veteran of three years of service, is serving aboard the USS Belleau Wood, a light carrier of the Monterey class, and saw considerable action in the Pacific. He participated in the air action over the Japanese home islands prior to and on the day the Japanese surrendered.The De Pue navy flier was photographic officer of his squadron, and wTote of having his plane snot up in one of the many actions in which he has participated. He landed in San Diego last week and expects to arrive home Nov. 9 or 10 on leave.His brother, Edward, a former chief petty officer in the navy, was recently discharged after six years of service. Another brother, S 1/e Leo, is at San Diego, serving with a supply ship.!
