Harrison has been advised of the safe arrival overseas of his son, Joseph Louis Harrison, who is in the navy.Relatives in Statesville have been advised of the safe arrival overseas of Reuel Rives, who recently completed a course in motor mechanics atClemson College, S. C.Corporal Jas. D. Morrison, who isa son of Mr, and Mrs! D. T. Morrison, of Statesville,- and is rn France with the 30th Division, writes his parents that lie was gajsed October 8th and was in a hospital, but expected to be out of the hospital soon. Corporal Morrison belonged to the old Statesville company, the Iredell Blues.Robert V. Holland, who spent a brief furlough with his mother, Mrs. J, C. Holland, in north Iredell, returned Sunday to Camp Humphries, Va., where he is stationed.Mrs. C. L. Cruse will leave today to join her husband at Petersburg, Va, Lieut. Cruse went to Petersburg two weeks ago to enter the veterinary training school at Camp Lee.Private Claude L. Albea, it is learned from the Charlotte News, who was at one time- employed by the Brady 'Printing Company, of Statesville, has be.en wounded in action in France, but is getting along all right.
