Vol. 62Thant Fails to Got Cuban Accoptanco Of UN InspoctionUNITED NATIONS, N.Y. lt;JB— Acting Secretary •General U Thant Maid W ednesday night that he had learned during his Cuban peace mission that all Soviet missile* would be dismantled by Friday and out of tdha soon afterward.Thant, however, was silent about his aiparent failure to persuade Prime Minister Fidel Castro to go along with a Soviet suggestion that the missile withdrawal be verified by UN inspection.Such inspection was considered \ital by the United States. The secretary'- general indicated he would continue his discussions with Cuban representatives in New York on the whole Cuban crisis.Thant s atatement was made to newsmen on his arrival from Havana.
