Vol. 62Thant Fails to Got Cuban Accoptanco Of UN InspoctionUNITED NATIONS, N.Y. lt;JB— Acting Secretary •General U Thant Maid W ednesday night that he had learned during his Cuban peace mission that all Soviet missile* would be dismantled by Friday and out of tdha soon afterward.Thant, however, was silent about his aiparent failure to persuade Prime Minister Fidel Castro to go along with a Soviet suggestion that the missile withdrawal be verified by UN inspection.Such inspection was considered \ital by the United States. The secretary'- general indicated he would continue his discussions with Cuban representatives in New York on the whole Cuban crisis.Thant s atatement was made to newsmen on his arrival from Havana. He rushed immediately to UN headquarters for separate meetings with Chief US Delegate Adiai FI. Stevenson and Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily V.
