Dee Rowland, 79, Dies Few Days Following FallDee RowlBnd, 79-year-old retired businessman, died at 3:10 p,m. Monday in a local hospital. Rowland suffered a fall a few days ago and had been hospitalized for several days.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. In the First Christian Church, of which lie was a member. The Rev. B.L. Brown will officiate and burial will be made in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Doran-Vansau Funeral Home.Rowland, a veteran of World War I, operated an appliance store prior to his retirement. He made his home at 505 Johnson St.Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Rowland, of Del Rio; a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Mary Dec) Gleason of Gladewaler, Tex.; a brother, Roy Rowland of Bandera; two sisters, Mrs. Lila Clark and Mrs. R.S. Jordan of Medina; grandchildren, Capt. Stephen Dee Gleason of George Air Force Base, Culif., and Mrs.T.M. Johnson of Texarkana; a number of nieces and nephews.Rowland was born Sept. 25, 1893, in Dilley, Tex.Pallbearers will be John A. Faribault, Leon Mayfield, Edwin Brown, W.B. Smith,Mrs. Thelma Mae Eatmon, 54-ycar-old wife of William S. Eatmon, chief patrol agent of the Del Rio Sector, Border Patrol, died at 10:25 a.m. today in a local hospital, where she was taken Thursday after suffering a stroke.Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Doran-Vansau Funeral Home.The Eatmons, who resided at 241 Elizabeth Drive, relumed to Dei Rio in 1971;B.L.
