White.iStony Point, May 26. — Officers Beckham and Mayberry were making searches in the vicinity of Marvin church in Miller’s township for illicit operators and machinery in the liquor business, when they found an *uban-uoned plant fresh in occupation, but operators and machinery were gone. Too officers lingered about until daylight and found a partially concealed keg containing 10 gallons of spirits of '■ mo kind which they brought to Stony Point and emptied the contents on toe ground.Sergeant Luther White of A. E. P. 1.13th Field Artillery, Battery “A” in 30lh Division, and his wife, are now visiting fMends'aiul relatives in Stony Point. Their home is in Wilmington and he owns one-third interest in Hanover Drug Company. Sergt. White was with the 30th division in the^at^ *s of St. Mihiel, Verdun, Argonne^ mtfaucon, Woevre and Montaigne orest. He was gassed in one of the ngagements.
