Hermann, ninth cavalry, is detailed for service in the quartermaster corps, vice Capt. J. J. Ryan, relieved.Lieut. Col. F. R. Keefer, medical corps, Is relieved from duty at southern department at Fort Sam Houston and will proceed to Honolulu, sailing from San Francisco about Aug. 5.Capt. M. D. Weed, medical corps, will proceed to Fort Bayard, N. M.t for treatment.. The president has accepted the resignation of chaplain A. P. Landry, 12th cavalry.Maj. G. R. Spaulding, corps of engineers, is relieved from duty at army service school, Fort Leavenworth, and will proceed to Cincinnati for station.♦First Lieut. L. J. Ahern, ordnance department, will proceed to Washington, D. C„ for treatment.Orders of Jan. 2, relating to Maj. E. E. Persons, medical corps, are revoked.Capt. O. F. Snyder, 17th infantry, will report to commanding general, eastern department for duty.Capt. C. Deems, jr., sixth field artillery, is detailed as inspector-instructor of field artillery of the organized militia of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, and will proceed to Indianapolis for station.Leaves of absence: O. L. Spaulding, jr fourth field artillery, second division, Texas City, extended one month; Maj. J. C. Gilmore, jr., coast artillery corps, two months;Maj. H. P.
