Iaugh-tci of Union Veterans, Daughters of American Revolution, American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, Spanish War Veterans, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Reserves, Service company, Medical detachment and band of the 133 id Infantry will form in parade on the east side of the Jefferson county court house under the direction of Major Isconard Greenfield, marshall of the day. For those who t Ian t'» ride to the cemetery and hack to Howard Park, there will he cars at the curb lt;on the south side of the court house square at 1:15 o'clock. The march to the cemetery will commence promptly at 1:30 p.nWhen the cavalcade reaches the cemetery, the graves of the soldiers will be decorated writh flowers bythe Hoy Scouts with the aid of theSpanish War Veterans and the American I*egion. Before leaving the cemetery, the Women's Relief Corps and the American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a service to the Unknown Soldier, a salute will he fired by a squad from the Service company and laps sounded by members of the 133rd Infantry band, which concludesthe service* at the cemetery.The cemetery service will last until about 2:15, following which the remaining part of the program will lie held at Howard Park, provided ihc weather Is favorable. In case of inclement weather, the program v ill be given in the Methodist church. At the outbreak of the Civil War and following the call of President Lincoln for troops, there was organized at Fairfield, a company of holdicrs known as company “E,” whcse drill ground w as that tract of bind in this city now known as Howard Park, and through the efforts of the Daughters of Union Veterans, them has been placed a marker at this spot which w’.il be unveiled and presented to the city by ?*,# president of the local tent of that organization. The unveiling and presentation of this marker will be a great feature of this part of the Decorat ton Day program, hence, on returning from the cemetery, instead c r going to Central Park for the remainder of the day’s observanc es, themarchers will stop at Howard Park.
