Civilian Officials, Firemen, AidesThree hundred auxiliary firemen. police and air raid wardens will be on hand tonight* to enforce Pulaski’s first blackout, tobe heralded at 9 p. m. by short blasts from whistles.The test will extend for a Y’dlus of one mile outside Pulaski and is expected to last about 20 or 25 minutes. All clear signal will be a continuous blowing of whistles for three minutes.One Group ExceptedThe only defense officials who will not be required to report for duty are the doctors and nurses, since their services are in need at their own particular work.All lights visible from the outside of any home or building , must be extinguished immediately. Drivers in automobiles must pull over to the curb and turn off their lights and motors until the ‘•all clear” is sounded.Citizens are reminded that a town ordinance provides a fine not exceding $1,000 or imprisonment for not exceeding 30 days, or both, for violations of the blackout rules and regulations 'Which have been published in The Southwest Times.The Pulaski and Dalton theaters will operate as usual, since both theatres have special blackout equipment that prevents any light from being visible from the outside.
