He was commissioned os ft lieutenant June 27, 1917, and was assigned to a hospital at Hoboken. N. J., and later was al Cnmp Dlx, N. J.. near Philadelphia. Here he was head of the examining board for eye, ear, nose, throat and was distinguished bv bring awarded n bronze victory button.Dr. Fraser wan perhaps one of the greatest students that Alcona has known nnd was Interested in numerous things outside his profession. He had an extensive workshop at his home and at the time of his death was about to complete a 6*inch reflecting telescope mad* of brass by his own hands. He was Interested in mechanics nnd enjoyed the work In his shop. He also enjoyed the study of astronomy and other sciences. Although of a modest and unassuming disposition, his talents nnd ability were recognized generally.Given Military Funeral Dr. Fraaer was an active member of the Algona American Legion poat and was given a mlltury funeral by Hagg Post last Sunday morning, the services being held at the St Thomas Episcopal church, with Rev. DeVere La V. Shelmandinc In charge, the burial being made cm the Soldier’s Plot in Riverview cemetery. Besides the widow and the children those present of the near relatives were Mrs. Monte Nelson, White Lake. S. D. Mrs. Norma Bu-daek and Miss Carrol Squlcrs of Chicago, nieces.
