Jo nosky,. son of Mrs. Eve- lt;iene Janosky 652 Maple Street, 1 is taking part in four weeks of 1 summer maneuvers at the base of world-famous Mount Fuji.A member of Headquarters Company. Second Battalion, Seventh Cavalry Regiment, First Cavolry Division. Janosky arrived in Japan in Feb., 1950, after having com- . pieted his basic at Fort Knox, Ky. ■As a switchboard operator Cpl. ‘ Janosky will undergo a course of intensive combat training designed to better the effectiveness of individuals and units of the division.He will participate in simulated wartime maneuvers and combat efficiency tests patterned after actual battle conditions.During his stay at the base of Mount Fuji he 'will be trained in all types of ground combat by instruction and practical application.Upon completion of his cycle of training, he will return to his permanent station in the heart ofTokyo.
