Motions were passed to pay the bills and to have new streets signs put up on Meuse Argonne John Phillips of the Hicksville American Legion said new street signs had been erected without the three stars to signify three World War I veterans that had lived on the street and fought in the battle of Meuse Argonne.He said when new signs were erected, the three stars had been overlooked. He added that Congress at one time had ordered this to honor those veterans.
