Harrison has •cot to Fort Finley, t*. sink a b«at loaded with cannon hall, a:.d not to have any until attempt to pass.'1 he British and Indians, Clt;c. c. are computed at 3.000 men. 1 understand, that Geii.Clny, and the Kentucky tr«K»ps, hud not arrived when the bombardment commenced on the 30th ult. 1 have just returned from Norton, and I am calling nut mounted volunteers, iu every contiguous direction, to rendezvous at this place and Norton inune dintely—with respect to the admitting of the one year's troops, raising under your 3c Gen. Cara's tupernitendance, you w ill dispose of them as you may judge best. Forage and provisions cun he furnished at this, and in advance, by the United States. On this occasion, you are desired to exert your authority and influence, to bring or scud all the mounted men you can. My object U to attempt to force through to Fort Meigs, it necessary, and in uuy event, to secure the public stoves mi Upper Sandusky, and relieve the frontier inhabitants from a panic which has seized them.* In case Gen.
