Qtorgt C.BmkI«rSYLVAN GROVE — George C. Bender, 80, Sylvan Grove, died Tuesday, May 13, at St. John’s Hospital.Mr. Bender was bom Oct. 25, 1905, in Lincoln County. He worked for the Lincoln County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator. He had lived all of his live in the Sylvan Grove community and was a member of the Presbyterian church.He is survived by his wife, Stella of the home; a son, Keith D. of Kansas City, Mo.; and two grandchildren.The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Presbyterian Church, Sylvan Grove, Pastor Tom Henstock officiating. Burial will be in the Sylvan Grove Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the church.Visitation is from noon until 9 p.m. today at Rodrick Minear Funeral Home, Sylvan Grove, where the family will receive visitors from 7 to So.m.
