Chamber honors lawmenAwards were presented by the Hayward Chamber of Commerce last.night to a Hayward police officer and Alameda County sheriff s. deputy as the chamber honored local lawmen, W. Van Blari-com, chamber president, back left, presents the Policeman of the Year trophy to Hayward Patrolman Walt Muniz, who has been off duty for the past three monthswith a back injury he suffered while .on duty. Sandra. Hill, chairman of the chamber Law Observance Committee, presents a plaque.to sheriffs Deputy Clyde Leeper* cited for meritorious service. The presentations were made at a dinner for Hayward police officers hosted by the chamber last night in honor of National Police Week this week.
