W«herkas, Our beloved country is being convulsed by ooe of the mightiest revolutions the world has ever known, and we know not at what moment war, with all its horrors, may be upon us; therefore be itResolved, That we, the citizens of Crawford county, Ind., and Meade county, Ky., having lived for years on terms of the utmost intimacy and friendship, ami desiring that that intimacy and friendship should forever continue, we, thereto; e, pledge ourselves to protect each other in all our rights and under all circumstances; that the flag of our Union is our flag and we will have none other.On motion of Dr. T. W. Owinga of Meade county, and Pres. J. Obanioc, Esq., of Indiana, it wasResolved, That the proceedings of this meetings he published in the Louisville Journal *ud Democrat, New Albany Ledger, Pauli Eagle, and the Cannelton Reporter.The meeting was well attended considering the short notice given; the large chutch was diled to overflowing. The audience was addressed by Dr. Swan of Meade county, in an able and eloquent speech.Dr. Owing*, Pres. J. Obanion, Esq., Capt. Cummings, aud Dr. Bullington made brief addresses appropriate to the occasion. All went off in order, aud with three hearty cheers for the Union, the meeting adjourned. 1WM. DARVEY, President, jK. B.
