[For the New Albnny Le-iger.]Kentucky and Indiana.Oq Friday last, the 3d inst, a Union meeting, compoaed of citizens of Meade county, Ky., and of Crawford county, Ind., was held at Alton, for the purpose of mutual expressions of patriotic seutiment, intimacy, and friendship, and to adopt resolutions which, tinder the present impending dangers to the country, they deem ae necessary for their self defense and protection.On motion of Capt, T. H. Cummings, Rev. Win. Harvey of Crawford county, Ind., was chosen to preside over the meeting; Messrs. iiephen Hardin and P. R. Fulliuwiler of ileade county, Ky , were chosen as Vice Pres ideots of the meeting, and R. 15. Leas Secrt-taiy On motion of Dr. Owinga of Meade county, Ky., that the President appoint a committee on resolutions, to consist of three from .^aoh county represented in this meeting. Dr. Owiuge, Win. Eider, Esq., and Win. Roberta of Meade county, and Dr. Johu Parr, Capts. T. H. Cummings and E. P. T. Hollcrolt of Crawford couuty were appointed that committee, who promptly presented the following preamble and resolutions, which were unanimously adopted:
