James IveyNORTH AUGUSTA - James M. Ivey died Saturday, May 4, 1991. Mr. Ivey resided at 312 WestMartintown Road.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Gary C. Redding and the Rev. Doug Bryant will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.A native of Warrenton, Ga., Mr. Ivey lived in North Augusta for 44 years He was retired as a representative for Mutal Life Insurance Company of New York. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post No. 71. He was a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.Surviving are his widow, Mary /Mice Mayson Ivey; a son, James M Ivey Jr., Savannah; two daughters, Judy I. Hankinson, Waynesboro, Ga., and Jean I. Haynes, Richmond, Va ; a sister, Blonde Cockill, Redlands, Ca.; and threegrandchildren.Memorials may be made to FirstBaptist Church, North Augusta The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at J.M. Posey and Sons Funeral Home, North Augusta.
