MOURN VETERAN COMRADE.Post 33, 0. A, R.f Attends Funeral of Charles A. McDonald of Woburn,WOBURN, May 5—The funeral of Charles A. McDonald, a veteran of the civ!! war, took place today. Many prominent citizens attended and post 33,G. A. R., of which deceased had for many years been a member and officer, was there in a body, escorted by a squad of G company, 5th regt, Corp Kean commanding:. . 7Other organizations represented were the Woman’s relief corps, and the 2d anIlth Massachusetts regts, in which McDonald served during the war.Rev Dr Woods of the Methodist, church officiated. At. the close of the service at the house the body was placed in charge of the post, when the casket was covered with the flag andtaken to the cemetery.The bearers were John Kelly, William G. C. Colegate, Thomas Moore, William IS. Smith, William T. KendaH, James H. Knowlton, Rufus R. Whitten and J. M. Tbbutt. At the, grave the burial service of the G. A. R. was performed, after which Stephen F. Keys of Boston, a comrade of deceased in | tne za uf kubui*-aid as a soldier, and taps was sounded.
