Alien CenterSites PickedmspAofSAN FRANCISCO, March 28 flj.P)—Wartime Civil Control Administration, directing evacuations, today announced selection of eight Northern California sites* to serve as “collecting centers for aliens and Japanese-Americans being removed from Military Zone No. 1.The eight centers, now being constructed, will accommodate 37,000 persons.Such centers were designed to serve as temporary residences for Japanese and Japanese-Americans o will be the first to be removed frljfm the military zone. The zone embraces the western halves of Washington, Oregon and California and the southern half of Ari-*ona.The sites and their capacity, as Announced, were: x1—The Arboga colony of 160 acres near Marysville, accommodating 3000 persons.
