The recent reported death of H/S Robert Bierman of Maywood, killed in action in Belgium December 3C, has saddened the Rogers family as the young soldier was the son of Mrs. Roger's cousin and wife, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Bierman oi Maywood.The military careers of “Bob’ and his twin brother, Sgt. Richard Bierman, ‘'Dick”, have been widely publicized as they have been constantly together since they entered service. Seeing three major battles the 20-year-old brothers, have shared fox holes and have refused promotions thatwould separate them. “Dick’’ arrived home unexpectedly on a six weeks’ furlough, a greatly saddened homecoming, with ‘Bob” not with him.
