Sam Dobervich Is___Killed on Iwo JimaFARGO, N. D.—fJP)—Marine 1st Lt.Sam Dobervich of Crosby-rronton,Minn., former NDAC athlete who was well known In Fargo, was killed Feb. 32 on Iwo Jlma, according to word received by his wife, the former Jane Shulz of Fargo. Lt. Dobervich would have been 32 on Friday.Mrs, Dobervich, art instructor at NDAC, is visiting et Ironton, Minn,, with Lt. Dobervlch’s parents, Mr. andMrs. Ob rad Dobervich.One of six brothers in service, Lt.Dobervich was a veteran of marine campaigns in the Marshall Islands, Tinian, Saipan, Roi and Namur.Lt. Dobervich, who recently was awarded the Bronze Star for meri torious achievement, had an opportunity to visit with two of his brothers somewhere in the Pacific. Lt. Col. Michiel Dobervich, now executive of*-ficer for the central procurement division of the U. S. marine corps at Chicago, and Ensign George, in the Southwest Pacific, spent Christmas with Sam.!C
