Stims.on and ‘Charles C. Mills. . fSergeant Hellard was 40 years old. He enlisted in the Army in 1906 and 1 had been in the service since that i time. Ilis death followed an illness I of three months from tuberculosis, the disease resulting from his having been gassed during the- world war* He is survived by his mother, Mrs.»D. V. Hellard, and one sister, Mrs. E. ' lM. Pierce, of Cool Spring township; i also one brother, Mr. John Hellard of Wichita, Kansas. || The remains1 of Sergeant Hellard arrived here Thursday afternoon on1 No. 21. They were accompanied to Statesville from Denver by Captain; Woodland. • i
