*Winona PrisonerWriies ParentssAnother letter from a Winona prisoner of war has been received. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Lubinski, 611 E. Wabasha St., received a letter Wednesday from their son, CpL John Lubinski, who has been a prisoner since April, 1951.Last weekend, POW letters arrived from Pfc. Raymond Reed, Winona, and Sgt. 1 C. Henry Leer-kamp, Minnesota City.Unlike the first letter which the family received from CpL Lubinski early in January, this one is in his handwriting and in his manner of writing. The parents doubted their son had written the earlier letter, as it contained peculiar misspellings and construction and didn’t look as if it were in his handwriting. This one, they are sure, is genuine. Also, he seems to have been moved between the times of writing the letters. The first had a return address of Camp No. 3, North Korea, and the letter received Wednesday was sent from Camp No. 1. It was dated Jan. 14 and sent free POW air mail. From a stamp on the outside, the Lubin-skis concluded that it was received in American hands March 12.The letter is penned on one sheet of paper, which has been folded to form an envelope. It is sealed with scotch tape. Lubinski speaks of receiving only one piece of paper once in a while on which .to write.Like the letters received from Leerkamp and Reed, this one speaks of-the good food, kind treatment and warm clothing the American POWs are getting.
