East Waterloo Township Raises Teacher SalariesThe East Waterloo • township school board Monday voted to raise salaries of teachers for next year to $90 a month. This year $85 a month is being paid to regular teachers.A possible shortage of qualified teachers, due in part to transfer of men and women to defense industry jobs, was discussed by the board in considering the salary increase.The board employs 15 teachers.A. J. Hexvitt was re-electedpresident, an office he has held for more than 20 years. The board met in the courthouse.
