MARCH 9. 1945 -7VFW Auxiliary Elects Mrs. OwenCelia Owen wa? elected presi-dent of Veterans of Foreign War* auxiliary Wednesday night at the club rooms. Officers with her will [be Ann Muetse and Elizabeth War-ren. senior and junior vice-presidents; May Johnson, guard; Carn* Day. chaplain; Dorothy Muetze, conductress; Avada Loschir.g, treasurer; Wolga Major, three-year . trustee.' A bond was purchased and do-nations were received from members for the nursery at Eaton Rapids, Mich. Any member wishing tocontribute a dollar for the nurserymay do so at the next meeting.Lillian Welch, hospital chairman. reported that 82 bars of oap have been donated by members who attended the February meeting. Contributions of both soap and mens clothing may be brought to the next meeting.New member initiated were Harriet Gilbertson, Margaret Kramer. Viola Gran Marie Kramer, Sylvia Riley, Elsie Lockwood.Besie Harris, Viola Gueltzow and Joan Gueltzow. Names added to the honor roll were Loren E How-art h, Francis A. Riley. Lloyd Gilbertson, Jerome Gran, Raymond Harris, Louis Gueltzow, La Vern Kramer, John Gueltzow and Edward Kramer.Announcement was made thatthe post will hold open house Sat-! urday night. March 17, for all post , and auxiliary members Socialmembers and guests are invited toattend.
