The Lenox man’s parents y* were notified by the War Department Thursday night that he has been missing since Feb. 13. jElThe Fuore family last heard from Sgt. Fuore Jan. 15. The family had requested recently that he ve ibe brought home because of thejF serious condition of his mother’s *«* health. Their request was granted j32 in Washington, but upon seekingveihim out in the battle zone he was gh found to be missing. Sgt. Fuore graduated from Lenox High School jSa in 1941. Shortly after his gradua-1 tion he enlisted in the Navy and|served four years during World J_0vVar II. He spent most of his over- j seas time in the Pacific area par-j ticularly on and around Guam.Following his discharge, he was J an briefly employed in the plastics di-imlt; vision of General Electric before enlisting in the Army. He has been in the Army three years, all of it ■ overseas. He spent the first twojnv years of his Army enlistment inGermany and then was sent to Korea. He has been in Korea since last June. According to his parents, he has been with the Second Division from the beginning of the Korean war.During World War II six Fuores were in the armed services. WithJohn were Joseph, Daniel, Richard, Henry' and Julian. All returned safely.
