I V \ •City Court Judge Owen Wynn Rogers died in New Orleans last Saturday. He was a member of Bridges’ Battery and served throughout the Civil War. He took part in many battles, among them being the Battle of Baton Rouge, As a member of the State Senate he introduced and urged the passage of a bill providing for the erection of a home for soldiers that served in the Civil War, which was passed, and the present Soldiers’ Home in New Orleans— the first, of its kind to be erected in the South—was created by Mr. Rogers’ bill.
