j£3T Clayton Cox, a son of Wm. Cox,of Centreton, in this county, was taken prisoner on the 25th ult., near Brashear, Lousi-ana. He, together with a number of others, were in charge of trains, which were employed in conveying provisions to the famishing citizens of New Orleans. Mr. Cox was a member of Co. Iv, 21st regiment,and went from this county under Cnpt. Hess.
