O., said Wednesday.! § f!« Work began Monday on the extension which will square off the L-shaped building and provide extra room for recreation i of service men here for a brief visit. Ed Davidson is in charge of the construction of the extension which will cost around $2,500.A 25 by 40-foot room is to be added at the back of the present building This will be used as a recreation and lounging room, with the? present game room converted into a sleeping room where cots will be provided for service men if they so desire In this way, more cots than are now available will be at their disposal This room I will be separated from the main long room of the building by folding doors After the present men’s rest room is enlarged, a shower and bath will be included. ’■ ’■ :*®f■:A complete renovation of the building is planned, including re-decoration by the American Legion Auxiliary*, committee members have announced. The roof will be repaired. floors reflnished, woodwork repainted, new drapes hung and other improvements made. * Part of the labor is being donated as a contribution to the new USO club headquarters.
