Roy SwangrenCross for extraordinary achievement, it was announced at an 8th Army Air Force Liberator station in England. ♦ S*As .lead navigator of a combat wing on the Liberator, “Mac’s” Sack,” Capt. Swangren has 12 missions to his credit. He also wears the Air Medal with one Oak Leaf cluster.A graduate of Proviso high school and Austin Junior college, he was employed as a mechanical draftsman at the S S Machine Works, Chicago, before entering service in 1942.
