Coneinyesterday and told him to comeback In September, but the 21-year-old French-born Kansas City, Kan.,youth will be wearing a uniform come July 2.Only recently returned from 18 months with the French army, Conein sought to enlist, but was rejected because he will not become a citizen until fall. Told, however, that aliens might volunteer as a selectee, Conein immediately did so.Kansas City, Kan., authorities said he would be inducted July 2.“I want action,” he said, I wantanother crack at those Germans and leave them some souvenirs. They left me one,” he added, exhibiting an arm scarred by a bomb explosion.Conein was called to the French colors in December, 1939, while a resident of Kansas City, Kan.
