Montrose Mention.June 18.—Mrs. H R. Withrow of Croton is here to Bee her mother who is critically ill.The Brotherhood of St. Andrew will hold services at the Episcopal church on Sunday morning.Mrs. Al. Hickman of Ottumwa is visiting her sister, Mrs. Hitchcock.Mrs. Clarence Johnson entertained several members of the Johnson family at a six o'clock dinner on Friday.The social given by the willing workers on Saturday evening was well at tended.Mr. David Houghton, our barber, is suffering from chills and fever.A heavy rain reached here on Sunday morning.Mrs. Jennie Reeves and Mrs. H. (lerbroth were shopping at Keokuk on Tuesday.Mrs. H. D. Reeves and children are visiting relatives at Conway, Iowa.Mrs. Ben Trimboll is critically sick.Uncle Tom's Cabin Co. will play in this city on Tuesday evening June 19.Mr. and Mrs. Hancock of Donnellson are running the Hotel Montrose with good success.Grandma Harmon is critically sick; her life is despaired of.Mrs. Kd Sheets of this city received the sad intelligence Monday that her brother, Mr. White of Clarksville, Mo., was kicked by a mule and was instantly killed.The marriage of Mr. Sam Johnson oc curred last night to Miss Amy Worster Rev. R. Weese performed the ceremony that joined the young couple for life.Mrs. H.
