Miss Martin deserves! favorable mention in connection with !ithe name of Miss Hannah Powell, for ; the two went South together and sacrificed their lives in their mission of j mercv as nurses among the Union sol- 1 lt;liers in the enemy’s land. These heroic patriots should ever be cherished in ! memory along with the rest of Goshen's !v C* toffering upon the altar of our country, Miss Martin was a sister of Mrs. Albert Yates.
