McCOOK YOUTH ]Miss J a n i c e Harsch ofMcCook was recently selected as “Miss McCook” and will bea contestant for “Miss Nebraska” in the state contest now underway at York.Janice is the daughter of Mr. amd Mrs. Sam Harsch. Her mother was the former Myrtle Mangnall, native of Pawnee county and a niece of Mrs. C. 0. Dusenbery, 410 N. 5th St.,Beatrice.Miss Harsch was one of 11ft PAGEANTcontestants and was awarded a $100 scholarship, some clothes and an all expense paid trip to York for the Nebraska Pageant.She is a freshman at McCook Junior College and is a talented singer.The greatest danger from “silo gas” is during the first 12 to 60 hours after filling. It’s a g o o d idea, however, to be careful for at least 10 days after filling.
