MRS. ANNA JUPPENLATZ, WHO DESERTED HER HUSBAND AND HOME AND WENT TO INDIANAPOLIS, WAS BADLY WOUNDED FRIDAY NIGHT.Mrs. Anna luppenlatz, of No. 00C South West street, Inaiaaapolis, whs shot lu the back and seriously wounded Friday evening by John I^e, aged forty-flYB years, also of Indianapolis. Leo Is said to have ben In love with tllrs. luppenlatz and committed the deed out of jealousy. After shooting Mth. luppenlatz, Lee was purusued by police, who carried on a running fire with him. Lee was shot in the head. It la believed that he committed suicide after seeing that he would be unable to escape.Mrs. luppenlatz resided at St. Paul. Ind., until about a year ago. Sbo left her husband and home and went 10 Indianapolis, where she has since lived. Lee Is said to have been (he cause of tho woman leaving- her home. The two had quarreled several days ago, Lee having taken Mrs. luppenlatz to task for flirting with another man when she -was walking with him. Since then they have quarreled almost continuously it is said. Friday night Mrs. luppenlatz loft the place where she was slaying to go out for a walk. She was met by Lee who asked her to go back home. She refused. Lee, It Is said, threw the woman to the sidewalk and shot her. He then pointed the pistol at his own temple, but Instantly changed bis mind and started to flee.
