Markham post 9801. Veterans of Foreign Wars, was officially instituted as Memorial post, and its first slate of officers installed inimpressive outdoor ceremonies atthe McClaughry school on Sun., June t.4 The post was named in honor of Eugene Licka. James E. Cozzy. James W. Marrs, Ben Byers. Jr., Norman Parker. William J. Baker and Robert Sakowicz, residents of the village who lost their lives during World War II. Occupying places of honor during the ceremonies were the gold star mothers, who wore presented with corsages fabricated from red, white and blue j flowers with a gold star in the cen-f ter.Guest speakers were Gen. Rob-1 ert E. Moffett of the Illinois National Guard; Maj. John Augh-muty of the United States Marine corps; Lt. McCammond of the Unitlt;*d States Navy; Mrs. Bella Owels, Mrs. Ruby Stciivmays and Mrs. Ella Chryst of the Chicago chapter of the Gold Star Mothers; 'Carl Solamon, national Service of- j ^ficer; Paul Jones, commander of Harry E. Smith chapter Military Order of the Purple Heart; Bernard Hughes, commander of the Markham American Legion post; David Caplow, Cook County council commander; Ralph S.
