Hankins is the son Mr. and Mrs Mae Hankins of 206 Douglas st. He is a cook in the 7th regiment Third Infantry division, andis now awaiting rotation orders, expecting to be back home in mid-July.Hankins learned that Deadmond's craft was in the harbor at Inchon so left Seoul on a 48-hour pass to visit him. They had not met since last September.The visit was cut short, according to Deadmond's letter home, when his craft was suddenly ordered to JApan. Hankins returned to his unit In time to travel with it to Wonju where it blocked a threatened break-through. Hankins in a letter home satd they travelled *0 hours to cover 150 miles in going into position.
