Fight Abandonment of Weather SchoolGRAND BtkPWS —(JP)— Civic leaders of Grand Rapids moved today to fight what they say is a plan by the Army to abandon its big weather school here.Proceedings have also been instituted m federal court to determine if the government is Wing a fair rental price for its use of th£ Rowe hotel.The Army weather school was established last December, and1 many community buildings, including the Rowe and Pantlin* hotels, were taken over.George S. Olarke, president of the Chamber of Commerce, said he had learned that discontinuance of the weather school was planned on completion ofpresent courses In October or November.
