SELECTEES GO TO HUNTINGTONMercer Group Will Return to Bluefield Tonight for Automatic 14-Day Furlough After Taking Tests TodayMembers of the contingent of selectees sent to Huntington yesterday bv local board No. 1. Mercer county selective service, yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock, will submit to the final physical examination for induction in the armed services today, and will return to Bluefield tonight for the automatic 14-day furlough which went into effect yesterday.Following the 14-day furlough, the members of the contingent will be sent to Fort Thomas, Ky , for assignment to active duty.A greater majority of the group were teen-agers, and many of them were those who had completed their high school work thisyear.Richard Frazier Stowers was named leader with the following assistants; Luther Yokley Millsap,Leon Garland Yates. Lewis Drayton Mitchell, Millard Winton Robbins. Jr. . ,Two of the group scheduled forthis call failed to report. They 'were Possey Adrian Altizer and Charles Moricle. The board has been unable to contact these two for sometime, it was stated.Three men called in this group had previously Tteen transferred to other boards. They are; Harry i Flin Macon to Board No. 27. Philadelphia; Delphin Delmos Litteral to Board No. 1. Roanoke, and Joseph Ray Anderson to Board No 1 Johnson City.
