.,vVGalley steward Joe Hokoana (in water), Honolulu, rests before diving again under the motor surf boat where rope has been lodged in the propeller. Commander R. W. Butcher jokingly asked for a volunteer and Hokoana stripped off Ihis uniform and dove into the water. But they eventually had to hoist the craft back to the deck to remove the rope. The galley steward suffered cuts on his hand.
