It’s always somebody's boy that’s killed,” said Mrs. Frank Howard of 2007 South 8th avenue, when she learned of the allied invasions. News of D-Day brought back a vivid reminder of the Sicily invasion, when her son, Lt. Vincent Howard was killed in action. Mrs. Howard expressed concern about the number of losses, and ‘‘didn’t feel so good” since two young cousins are also overseas now.
