Local man gels commandFORT GORDON, Ga. - CoL Albert F. Ahrenholz will become deputy post commander here Tuesday.Colonel Ahrenholz 53, joined the New York National Guard 170th Field Artillery Battalion in 1940. He was commissioned an artillery officer in 1942 and served overseas in World War El as a company commander with the 10th Armored Division.Ahrenholz, a Middletown native, graduated from the University of Maryland and was graduated from the National War College,' armor school, command and general staff college and the armed forces staff college. He is also a member ol Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.Ahrenholz and his wife, Roma have three sons and a daughter.CoL Albeit F. Afnenhofr
