Caught, smoking on the promises of Defense Industries, Limited, at its cordite plant east of Transcona, John Trush, an employe, was sentenced to three months in jail today when he was convicted in provincial police court.He was charged with a breach of the Defense of Canada Regulations. Employes are forbidden to smoke or carry matches on the premises and Trush was found guilty of both.In addition to his jail sentence ho was lined $50 and costs for having a match in his possession, j Failing payment of the fine he will 1 have to serve an additional month in jail.
