Memorial Service forPfc. MagnesenAt 11:45 a.m. Sunday, July 30, a memorial service for Pfc. Robert Magnesen, 25, who. died June 25 of wounds incurred at Saipan,will be held at St. John’s Lutheran church, 1200 South 5th avenue, Maywood.In the infantry, Pfc. Magnesen had been through several Pacific campaigns during his thirty-three months of service, including the battle for Makin. Prior to his induction he was employed by the Campbell Soup company.In addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Berger Magnesen, he is survived by a sister, Ruth, and a brother, George.Pfc. Magnesen was graduated from Proviso high school in the class of 1937. He was confirmed in St. John’s Lutheran church in 1933. The memorial service will be held immediately following the regular Sunday morning service at St. John’s church.lt;'
