The Tramps- Heventn. On last Monday lour tramps called at the residence of Mr. Abraham Overholt, residing a short distance west of Fostoria, and asked for something to eat. It was not convenient just at that time for the fanuly to comply with the request, and the tramps were told that they could not pro-euro anything to eat at that hour. The fellows loitered about ia that vicinity lor some time, and, as soon as opportunity offered, they set fire to three large stacks of wheat, belonging to Mr. Overholt and containing about one thousand bushels of grain. The stacks were located near Mr. Overholt’s barns and outhouses, and it was with the groat*?t difficulty that the fire was prevented from communicating to the buildings, Two hundred men from Fostoria and vicinity were soon on the ground *and assisted in extingu.shing the flames. The tramps of coa. se fled, and, unf. rtu- j natelv, escaped. They would ha?e been summarily d^alt with if caught. Farmers should keep a sharp lookout for the villains who rove about the country at this season and be prepared to make it hot for them if necessary.
