Scott as major 3d regiment, vice Crane promoted.Adjatant General Gaylord calls attention to the following extract from the order of the war department:If any recruit shall be enlisted by such officer, who shall afterwards, on medical inspection, prove to have been obvioosly unfit for tbe service at tbe time of his enlistment, all expenses caused thereby shall be paid by such officer, to be stoppedagainst him from any payment that maybe coming to him from tbe government thereafter.The camps of rendezvous for the severalregiments will be announced in a future order.
