GIVES' LIFE—-First LieutenantKenneth L. Dodenhoff, son of Mrs.Cassie M. Dodenhoff, 1110 Pacificstreet, has been reported by the waf department to have been killed in China July 5. He was first pilot of a C-46 based in Burma. Thelieutenant, flight commander of hissquadron, left the states in April, 1945. He is holder of the AirMedal, the Oak Leaf Cluster and two Battle Stars. The young officer was born in this city and attended local schools. His widow, Mrs. Maxine M. Dodenhoff, resides at 1020 K street. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Diehl of this city and Mrs. Esther Styles of San Francisco.KILLED—Word was received today of the death of Elmer E.Williams, Jr., 27, metalsmith first class, navy, son of Mr, and Mrs, E. E. Williams, Route 2, Box 229, May 22 off Okinawa. The sailor, a native of this city, enlisted in the navy in January, 1942, and hadserved in four previous major engagements in the Pacific during the one-year period overseas. He attended local schools. His wife, Marcella, resides in Venice.
