COMMERCE MANIS REPORTEDD BY JAPSCommerce, Okla., July 24,—An Associated Press report yesterday of the apparent capture by the Japanese of Lieutenant Arnold W. (Red) Shamblin brought to Mr. and Mrs, Sherman W. Shamblin of Commerce the first information of theirson that they had received since last May.Lieutenant Shamblin was a pilot with the American Volunteer Group and he was forced to bail out of his plane during the last raid of the A. V. G. before it was disbanded recently.Lieutenant Shamblin was born and reared in Commerce, He left the United States last October to work for an aviation concern in China. A few months later he joined the A. V. G.He was graduated from Commerce high school and Northeast Oklahoma Junior college at Miami. He received his flight and aircraft training at the Spartan flying school in Tulsa. He later received his army wingo and a second lieutenant’s commission at Randolph Field in Texai
