Former New Mexico National Guard to Make Tour of State SoonFT. BLISS, Texas, July 24 (/P— The 200th Const Artillery (AA) regiment of the New Mexico National Guard Is going home, on n visit.The regiment will leave Ft, Bliss at 5 a.m. Aug. 8 for extended field exercises in New Mexico which will Lake it through numerous New Mexico communities before returning Aug. 14 to Ft. Bliss.Col. Charles G. Sage, commanding officer, snirl the 200th now has a strength of 77 officers and 1954 enlisted men, and that most of the regiment will make the trip.The 200th will arrive at Albuquerque at 3:30 p.m., Aug. 9, by motor convoy, of 247 vehicles and Aug. 10 will carry out a night problem, with the anti-aircraft units placed in position to afford protection for the Albuquerque airport. Searchlights of 800,000,000 cnndlcpower will bo used. •At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, the regiment will hold a parade and retreat formation. The Albuquerque public will be invited to witness the colorful ceremony.Itinerary of the regiment: Arrive Doming at 10 a.m., Aug. 8; leave Doming at 9 p.m., Aug. 8; Arrive Hot Springs. 2:30 a.m., Aug. 9; leave I-lol Springs, 7:30 a.m..Aug. 9; arrive Albuquerque, 3:30 p.m., Aug. 9; depart. Albuquerque, 5 a.m., Aug. :12; arrive Roswell, 8 p.m., Aug. 12; leave Roswell, 4 n.m. Aug. J3; arrive Carlsbad, '7 a.m.,Aug. 13; leave Carlsbad, 5 a.m.,Aug. 14; arrive Ft. Bliss, 4 p.m.,Aug. 14.The convoy will bo 247 motor vehicles. At each city on the itinerary the regiment, will conduct command post and field exercises.When possible arrangement, will be made to permit the public to visit and inspect regimental camn sites and to witness formations and ceremonies scheduled. Regulations do not permit soldiers to participate In local celebrations.
