Prepares To Summon College PresidentBy United PressBEAUMONT, July ^S.—The DiesCommittee marked into its futurebook today the questioning of the»president of one of Texas’ state teachers colleges, who has been described as a confidential member of the Communist Party.Representative Martin Dies, chairman of the House committee investigating un-American activities, saidIthat he would subpoena the institution head and “all others mentioned in the minutes of a meeting of Texas Communist leaders held last May.”The publicity resulting from Dies’ study of the Kyffhauser Bund brought about its dissolution in Houston.Gerhard Stubbe, Houston importer and Kyffhauser member, said that “this decision for dissolutioni. . . shows our earnest desire to1 maintain peace and order in thiscommunity.” He added that “it is in no way an admission of any wrongdoing.”
